Medway Worship Jam

What is it?
A get together of active worship team members from Medway to play and worship together.

Why is it?
Many worship team players have to play every week and never get the chance to relax and worship with their instrument without having the pressure of choosing songs, struggling with music, setting up and fighting against time (and the drummer!). Others struggle to get the songs on their hearts onto the program. Still more of us would love to 'let go' in worship on our instruments but are embarrassed in a small group. The Medway Worship Jam gives us all a chance to push further our worship through music. It's also be a chance to learn one or two new songs (none of us know them all!) - oh, and it's fun :)

Why now?
God laid the vision on my heart in 2002 and we’ve met two or three times a year since then.

Where will this lead?
Who knows? I'm NOT trying to put together some kind of mega-Medway worship band. Others are better at that than I would be. It's purely for the encouragement, inspiration and enjoyment of everyday worship team members, giving us the chance to play in a bigger group and find more freedom in our worship. It’s been obvious that God is in it and as long as He and a few musicians turn up, we’ll continue it.

Who is it for?
Anyone who's currently actively playing in main Sunday worship meetings. PLEASE don't feel you have to be a certain standard technically. If you have a heart to worship God with your talent, that's enough. If you regularly play in a big worship band, you may find this a bit tame, less choreographed, etc. Congregation members are also very welcome to come and simply enjoy the worship and praise.
